how to join atkins fbc
Atkins First Baptist Church takes membership very seriously. Every member of our church is not just a representative of the church, but also of Jesus Christ. If someone is to join our church, the following is the process which they would pursue.
STEP 1 - GET TO KNOW US
We believe that part of committing to church membership is being well acquainted with the church, its members, and its ministries. Before making the decision to pursue membership, we would encourage you to attend our Sunday worship gathering for a number of weeks, as well as plug into one of our small groups. This will give you the opportunity to learn about us as well as provide us the chance to get to know you.
STEP 2 - MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Our membership application is a simple document which provides us with basic information about you, your faith, your church history, and more. In this application you will be asked to write out your testimony of how you came to faith in Christ. Membership applications may be picked up by speaking with one of our pastors, or by picking one up in the lobby of our sanctuary building. Along with the application you will receive a copy of our statement of faith. Upon completing the membership application, please return it to one of our pastors.
STEP 3 - MEMBERSHIP INTERVIEW
After the membership application has been turned in, our pastor will schedule an interview with the prospective member(s). During the interview you will have the opportunity to share your testimony and ask any questions you may have about Atkins First Baptist Church. Once the membership interview is successfully completed, you will be presented to the congregation for church membership, at which point the church will vote on membership. Upon your presentation a summary of your testimony will be shared with the church, and if accepted by the vote, you would then be recognized as a new member of the Atkins FBC family.

3. Take Communion Faithfully (1 Corinthians 11:17-34)
4. Serve Humbly (1 Corinthians 12:12-20)
5. Pray Unceasingly (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
6. Give Joyfully (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
