The purpose of MDWK is to engage and equip students in 7th-12th grade to know Jesus and share the gospel.
ABOUT MDWK
MDWK (short for Midweek) is the student ministry of Atkins FBC. It meets every Wednesday night during the school year from 6pm-7:30pm upstairs in the Life Center. Our purpose is to engage and equip students in 7th-12th grade to know Jesus and share the gospel.
TEACHING
Our desire is for our students to be Bible-centered, and because of that we strive to teach the Bible to students without watering it down in any way. We preach the gospel, emphasize the importance of the local church, help students serve the church and the community, and address important issues that these students encounter every day.
EVENTS
Super Summer Arkansas is the annual camp that our students attend each summer. It is held on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR, towards the end of June.
ARVBA Mission Trip is our annual summer mission trip. While it is open to our entire church, there is a special emphasis for our students to go and serve. It takes place in various places throughout Arkansas and is usually scheduled in the middle of July.
ARVBA Camp is our local church camp. If students are unable to attend Super Summer, or they prefer a more traditional church camp experience, they are encouraged to attend ARVBA camp. It meeds during the second week of June annually, and is help at Spring Lake Baptist Assembly in Lonsdale, AR.
5th Quarters are events that take place on Friday nights during football season. A couple of times during the season students are welcome to come to the Atkins FBC Life Center at the end of the football game to fellowship together, hang out, take down some snacks, and hear a devotional from a speaker.
